MICROSOFT CDOC WELCOME CENTER -2016

8 MINUTE 8K RESOLUTION - STUDIOS: RUN STUDIOS - PIXELFIRE PRODUCTIONS - I2E

This was a unique project completed with a trio of studios. My partner Ryan Griffin, and concept writer Darell West of I2E.llc were responsible for conceptualizing, pitching and presenting to the client. I sold concepts through two rounds and we were awarded the work with Steve Bumstead at Pixelfire running the project. The work shown is early intellectual property from concepts Ryan and I created in week one. Some final frames appear in animated GIFs. Unfortunately, I left the project after all creative was approved and into production.  Pixelfire completed the final video production and delivery.

I was responsible for boards, initial design, video editing, base color grading, directing talent and the execution of the story concept. I created the majority of the initial motion design animation with Ryan and owned the compositing master file.

RITE-AID BEVERLY HILLS GRAND OPENING - 2014

ART DIRECTOR - VIDEO DIRECTOR - DESIGN - POST - SOUND

8K PANEL VIDEO WALL - STUDIO: PIXELFIRE PRODUCTIONS

Initially Pixelfire shot content on location in LA. It was pretty nice stuff. Unfortunately they were the victims of a vehicle break-in and the content went with it. Some footage was salvaged from a memory card we found but it was quite an undertaking to recover. I was hired by Pixelfire to create and direct these panoramic beauty videos for Rite-Aid's Beverly Hills grand opening. Each section of the playlist had to speak to their retail SKU's accompanied with audio I foley'd. I had multiple rounds of different concepts I presented. This is the direction the client chose.

MICROSOFT RETAIL STORE - 2011-13

CO-CREATIVE DIRECTOR - ART DIRECTOR - MOTION DESIGN - PRE-POST PRODUCTION

SPECS: OVER 57,000 PIXELS UNIQUE TWO SIDED CONTENT - 40+ LAYOUTS - MULTIPLE TEAMS

STUDIOS: AQUENT MICROSOFT UXCS / SYNECT

When looking at the Microsoft Video Walls you face two unique sides with full narrative (generally over 2:00 min) and custom created content. Often we had to recreate a standard 720p and 1080p broadcast spot so we could build it to scale - this required some reshoots and massive 3D renders and working with teams accurately both locally and remotely. Approximately theme took 6 weeks to create and approve; often 2 or 3 per person. From the below themes, Fathers Day, St Patricks Day, and Answer Desk were built with seamless sectional and layering feasibility that one could simply replace and render that section if needing a refresh.

NANOLUMENS NANOGATE - 2015

RFID ENTRANCE DISPLAY AND SOCIAL ATTRACTION

STUDIO: PIXELFIRE PRODUCTIONS

Nanolumens does some really great stuff. It was an honor to present our concepts and to get the work. I was hired to create the visuals and lead the creative technology concept for the RFID interaction that supported this LED entrance display to 2015 Globalshop. Video proof of play presented by Pixelfire.

HEINEKEN BUFALO WILD WINGS NEW YEARS INSTALLATION POC - 2015

ART DIRECTOR - CONCEPT - DESIGN

STUDIO: PIXELFIRE PRODUCTIONS

Group effort for a pitch. We didn't get awarded the work but the concept of making cities out of beer bottles seemed pretty cool to me so I threw it out there. The concept GIF is how the Beer might digitally poor slowly over the hour (or loop) and reveal a fuzzy thick sided coaster of the label. The cityscape is shown is Chicago.

Concept 2 is based on 24 hours of New Years Sparks. Heineken calls the star a spark. Each hour as New Years passes through we'd see new sparks that light the landscape up as a New Years cheers take place through social media. Maybe real time or refresh HTML.

JVC HEADPHONES OOH -2015

CREATIVE DIRECTOR & WRITER - CONCEPT - VIDEO AND PHOTOGRAPHY DIRECTOR

NYTSQ #126 VERTICAL LED

STUDIO: PIXELFIRE PRODUCTIONS

What a crazy project. 4 full videos (one not available) to concept, direct and create in less than 2 months (during the winter holiday mind you) for a placement in New York Times Square. Concepts are based on pitch decks I was in charge of and worked with the client to approve.

Behind the scenes look at the project. Final video was completed and delivered by Pixelfire Porductions.

T-MOBILE - T-URF - 2010

SR. CONCEPT - DESIGNER

AGENCY: PUBLICIS SEATTLE

While at Publicis Seattle, Andrew Christou asked me to lead a solo project and come up with some concepts for an addition to their re-brand assignment. He had an idea that the Space Needle felt like a T. I explored it and came up with  -T-URF which symbolized the home of T-Mobile within Seattle's iconic stops.

T-MOBILE - GARMIN PHONE CONCEPTS - 2010

SR. CONCEPT - DESIGNER

AGENCY: PUBLICIS SEATTLE

This was a concept for Garmin Phone. The ideas is specific to forcing someone to take a different route with a GPS phone like Garmin. What they find, how they report, and even how they change, reflects a specific archetype that identifies their grouping. This was social media very early on. Landing page hub is a micro model application setting that shows how each item would be used to "Navigate your life."

See 9-Panel video wall in motion section. I created the full UXUI for this digital kiosk touchscreen hub within the T-Mobile flagship store in Bellevue. Each screen revealed a look at the features, specs and offered preview of the apps on the device. (not all frames shown for licensing.)
